Purchasing: If your are coming to the UK to study for a short period of time, you may arrive with some appropriate clothing as most of international students do and in this case, you may need not spend anything on clothing. However, if your course lasts more than 12 months, you will find it absolutely essential to purchase a considerable amount of clothing whilst in the UK.

Washing: You will need to spend approximate £5 - £10 every fortnight on washing and drying your clothes, bedding, curtains and other fabrics. Launderettes are very expensive and you may consider washing facilities in your hall or flat, which are relatively cheaper.
