Objectives

“To provide for studies, training and research for the hospitality and tourism industry in technology, science, commerce, arts and other related courses of learning and to make significant contribution towards the success of the UAE’s economic development by direct provision to local industry and commerce of a combination of applied activities, research, professional training and consultancy work”

As the region's leader in hospitality and tourism education, our specific objectives are to:

  • Provide quality education in hospitality and tourism management
  • Pursue and produce innovative scholarship and research
  • Serve the hospitality, travel and tourism and service sector industries and academic Communities

In accepting the challenges ahead, the Academy Management, with strong support from the Board of Governors and the Academic Council has formulated a Strategic Plan, which clearly defines the Academy's vision up to the year 2005. In broad terms, we are determined to become the "preferred" institution, offering "preferred" programmes and producing "preferred" graduates for the region.

To achieve these ambitious but totally realistic objectives, we will do our utmost to excel in the following areas, including:

  • Course design, development and evaluation

  • Learning and teaching
  • Marketing and communication of our education services in relation to alumni liaison, image, student liaison, research, and understanding of the needs of our customer

In line with our overall mission, we will provide quality education of an applied nature relevant to the changing requirements of the community, so as to prepare students for the challenges they will meet in their future careers.
